How do I know if the Finotec Trading Platform will work on my computer?

How do I download the Finotec Trading Platform?

Does the Platform work on Mac?

Will my firewall prevent the Trading Platform from working?

If you are using the Windows firewall, you shouldn’t have any problems downloading or using our platform. If you are using another firewall and experiencing problems, see “troubleshooting” below.

Can I change the skin/layout of the Finotec Trading Platform?

Yes! Once you are on the platform, you can rearrange the different screens according to your personal preferences and you can also change the skin.

Is my account summary displayed on the Trading Platform?

Yes. Finotec offers all-in-one trading. This means that everything from your account balance, to your open transactions, margin used, usable margin, P&L, live quotes and graphs is displayed on the platform screen.

Are my transactions secured?

With Finotec, your deposits and transactions are totally secured.

How “up-to-date” are the prices on the Trading Platform?

Finotec provides instant trading through major liquidity providers. Transactions are executed on the price displayed from our price feed. Finotec prices are very competitive and we offer low spreads between the bid and ask prices (except in extreme market conditions).

Can I login to my account from a PC other than mine?

Yes, except that you probably won’t get the latest version of the platform if you login from a computer on which the platform wasn’t downloaded.

How do I deposit money?

Through credit card (immediate) or bank transfer. For further details, see our Deposit Methods.

My browser is apparently blocking the platform window.

Some browsers have pop-up blockers that prevent the platform window from opening. All you have to do is disable the pop-up blocker on your browser’s toolbar.

Will the Platform run on Windows versions other than the English one?

Theoretically, the Finotec Trading Platform is supposed to run on many international versions of Windows. However, if you are encountering problems, go to the Java icon in your Control Panel and click “settings.” In the location line, make sure that everything is written in English. If not, just copy the line and make a new folder in your C-drive.

Do I have an up-to-date java version?

Make sure you have the latest java version. If you are encountering problems with Java, go to Java in your control panel and remove all previous versions. Restart your computer and download the latest Java version for free.
