Fundamentals:
The Australia's dollar fall staled after investors have added to bets the central bank will raise rates from a six-year high after a report last week showed inflation was faster than expected by economists. The odds of a quarter-point rate increase by the Reserve Bank of Australia on Aug. 8 are 79 percent, a Credit Suisse index shows. Carry trades have boosted the Australian dollar 7.6 percent this year against the U.S. currency and 8.1 for the New Zealand dollar. The last sharp drop in the equity market took the wind out of the carry trader’s sales and created selling pressure on the Aussi .
