The Czech Koruna was adopted as the Czech Republic’s official currency in 1993 in place of the Czechoslovak koruna. Its official Czech name is koruna česká (with koruna meaning “crown”). Its ISO 4217 code CZK (and that’s how you will find it on our platform). While the Czech Republic was meant to adopt the euro in 2012, the date has now been postponed to 2019.
