AUD/USD - Australia's dollar climbed 2.8 percent to 81.96 U.S. cents as of 5 p.m. in Sydney from 79.77 cents in New York on Aug. 17, when it reached a nine-month low. Against the yen, it traded at 94.87 from 91.22 at the close last week, a 3.6 percent rise.
